The 65th Cannes Film Festival came to a close on Sunday 27th May. Private Jet Central the UK jet charter company had an exceptionally busy two weeks with a large number of flights to and from Cannes. As usual the festival was very well attended with more 30,000 accredited attendees from every area of the film industry and more than 4,000 journalists.
The 65th Cannes film festival was one of the best in recent memory with stars of stage and screen jetting in to Cannes to join in the celebrations. The prestigious Palme d’Or went to Michael Haneke’s Amour with most regarding it as the right choice. A slightly more surprising Grand prix was awarded to Matteo Garrone for his film Reality while the Jury Prize was awarded to the British stalwart Ken Loach.
