are seeking a holiday with green credentials. Finca de Arrieta in the
north of the island is the island´s only eco friendly holiday village –

There are also plenty of other eco friendly options for holidaymakers
who prefer bricks and mortar to sleeping under canvas. Ranging from the
eco luxury farmhouse at the top end of the price scale through to the
wallet friendly Eco Tower, which costs from £410 per week.
Lanzarote is a UNESCO protected biosphere – and was in fact the first
island in the world to secure this status back in 1994. Development on
the island has been carefully controlled, so tourists will find that
there are no high rise hotels or holiday complexes blotting the
landscape here. The north of the island is particularly unspoilt and
