"Russia and its capital city Moscow are a key development market for our dynamic mid-market brand Park Inn by Radisson. Our brand portfolio in the country now comprises 25 hotels with 6,300 rooms in operation or under development, and we are looking forward to further strengthening our Park Inn by Radisson footprint in Russia," said Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor.
The Park Inn by Radisson Odintovo in Greater Moscow will be located seven kilometres west of Moscow's outer ring road in 'Russia's Silicon Valley', Skolkovo, adjacent to the planned high technology business innovation centre in the already active city of Odintsovo. The location is in the centre of the city, which is the municipal capital of the Odintsovo District.
Besides 122 comfortable and colourful rooms, the hotel will offer an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar and meeting facilities, a gym and enclosed parking bays. The hotel is currently the closest international property to Moscow's Vnukovo International Airport just eight kilometres to the south. Vnukovo Airport is a growing airport handling more than ten million passengers per year and with direct flights to Europe on major airlines such as Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines.
The Skolkovo Innovation Centre, scheduled to start coming online in 2014, will be an ultramodern commercial and educational complex created to encourage science and technology based companies, focused in fields such as information communication, biomedicine, space, nuclear, and energy efficiency technologies. Adjacent to the hotel is also Sberbank's National Corporate University. Professionals, corporate business travellers, teams developing and engaging with the Skolkovo innovation centre and airport passengers will form the primary client mix of the hotel.
