A new online magazine dedicated to celebrating the very best in the independent accommodation market has been launched in the UK.
Aimed primarily at owners of bed and breakfasts, guesthouses and small hotels, theBandBer aims to create a community of self-styled ‘BandBers’, tirelessly championing and celebrating everything that makes them so unique and special.
Edited by David Cunningham, a senior web content developer and editor, this digital forum covers topics as wide-ranging as managing online reviews and profiles, appealing to the discerning business traveller, top tips and advice on effective use of social media, staycation trends, technology and credit card charges.
“There is a real spirit of community and comradeship within the independent accommodation market and property owners are eager to connect and share their stories,” says editor David Cunningham. “We are planning on using an arsenal of social media tools to help support and promote our members.”
Funded by US Booking Services Ltd, the Scottish-based, family-run travel technology company behind justonehotel.com, roomgenie.com and freetobook, theBandBer.com is a trade site with no membership costs. It is linked to an associated directory site, aimed at potential customers, www.bandber.com, which will provide opportunities for independent operators to advertise their properties.

St Christopher’s Inns Reward Loyal Customers with Exclusive Offers Ahead of the 2012 London Olympics
