British Airways has announced a new daily Las Vegas route, launching 25th October 2009, which increases the airline's services to the US to nineteen direct non-stop flights daily.
The new Las Vegas flights will be operated exclusively from Heathrow's Terminal 5 by a three-class Boeing 777, which will offer World Traveller (economy class), World Traveller Plus (premium economy class) and the award-winning Club World (business class), which features seats that convert to 180-degree flat beds.
Las Vegas calls itself The Entertainment Capital of the World, with huge hotel complexes lining the world famous Las Vegas Strip. British Airways' range of Las Vegas hotels varies from simple 2-star accommodation up to opulent 5-star hotels. From the fountains of the Bellagio Hotel, to the world famous shows at the MGM Grand and the full-size golf course and luxury shopping mall situated at the new Wynn Resort - visitors to the city can enjoy a wealth of Las Vegas sightseeing.
As part of a British Airways fly-drive, travellers can book a car rental with Avis and take a drive from Vegas to Arizona through desert scenery and towering mountain ranges. For the more adventurous Nevada visitor, Las Vegas tandem skydives or Lake Mead kayaking trips are also on offer.
British Airways is proud to add Las Vegas to its already extensive route network of US cities (which already includes major city destinations such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle and Houston) as well as providing holiday makers with hotels, car rental and tours across America, to help ensure travellers experience great USA holidays.

Discount Voucher Codes Site Notes an Increase in UK Destination Trips
A decreasing number of holiday makers are jetting off abroad this summer and instead choosing British alternatives according to voucher code website Wowvouchercodes.co.uk.
The continuing recession seems to have hit the UK holiday market hard as British jet setters are choosing to stay inside the UK this year instead of travelling to a foreign location. Wowvouchercodes.co.uk has recently announced a boom in visitors to the site who are looking for discount codes on experience days and excursions within the UK.
The discount site, which offers a number of bargains and special deals is updated daily with money off products and experiences for over 2,000 retailers including brands such as Boots and Marks and Spencer, and is also home to a number of deals for UK breaks and getaways.
Despite the array of foreign locations that holiday makers are able to choose from, an increasing number of Brits are opting out of spending the large sums of money needed for flights, accommodation and car hire and are instead seeking out websites offering online voucher codes such as Wowvouchercodes.co.uk to search for cheaper UK breaks to Torquay and Blackpool over the expensive exotic alternatives.
With a range of money saving deals on Butlins, Haven holidays and Cottages4u throughout a number of locations around the UK, Wowvouchercodes.co.uk offers breaks for those seeking relaxation or excitement. The site also provides a number of Vouchers for all the family on trips to attractions such as Drayton Manor and Alton Towers.
Matt Lovett, Managing Director of WowVoucherCodes.co.uk commented: “We have received an overwhelming number of visitors to the site who are interested in the discounts they could receive on both UK day trips and experience days. It seems that holiday makers are trying to make the most of what the UK has to offer, rather than splash out on extravagant holidays overseas, which in today’s economic climate is an obvious strain on spending.”

British Airways launches new routes to the Caribbean
British Airways is launching new twice-weekly flights to Montego Bay in Jamaica and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, reinforcing its position as the airline with more flights to the Caribbean than any other UK carrier. The new routes commence October 2009 with the airline also increasing services to other Caribbean favourites. Richard Tams, head of sales, commented that they are "popular destinations with our customers and it's due to demand that we're increasing the number of flights to the region."
The addition of Montego Bay alongside the existing Gatwick-Kingston route makes it easier than ever before for customers to choose their perfect holiday to Jamaica. Customers will also be guaranteed discounts on flight plus hotel packages via the new dynamic holiday packages feature on the British Airways website. Accommodation in Montego Bay includes the secluded The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort with its old world charm and the popular Rooms on the Beach in Ocho Rios - just five minutes from the world famous Dunns River Falls.
Increased frequencies from London Gatwick to other hotspots in the region mean the number of flights to St Lucia will increase from three to five a week, Barbados flights will rise from nine to ten, and flights to Port of Spain, Trinidad, from three to five times weekly.
By using the British Airways website, customers can book a stay at the four-star Cap Maison. The hotel is set in one of St Lucia’s most sought after areas and offers spectacular views of the ocean and the neighbouring island of Martinique. Travellers choosing Barbados holidays through British Airways can expect a warm Bajan welcome.
Another popular hotel in the area is The Crane. Located on the stunning south-east coast of Barbados, The Crane is the oldest operating hotel on the island. This cliff-top resort overlooks the renowned pink sands of Crane Beach. The latest addition to the hotel is the highly anticipated Crane Village which was launched in February 2009. Inspired by the architecture of an 18th century Barbadian town, the 55,000 square-foot Crane Village is the new heart of the resort community.
With a total of 13 destinations and 45 weekly flights to choose from, British Airways is showing its commitment to the Caribbean and making it easier than ever before for customers to book their dream Caribbean holidays.

Soap free but clean this holiday!
Whether you decide to go long haul or join the growing number who’ve made the decision to stay in the UK the chances are you are going to be on the move this summer. Either way the need for good hand sanitisation is a must to keep you and your family healthy and free
from summer colds and tummy upsets.
The easiest way to do this is to start getting everyone used to the idea of using a special hand sanitising product such as Soapopular. Soapopular is specially designed for use by the whole family as it has the advantage of being alcohol free which makes it safer to
use than those that contain alcohol. Alcohol sanitisers, which are being banned by a number of hospitals, not only dry and chap young skin but can be dangerous should a young child decide to lick or suck their fingers after it has been applied.
However, Soapopular has no such safety issues and can also be used by those people whose religion forbids the use of alcohol. The Soapopular formulation is based on an alcohol-free, antimicrobial compound that has been safely used over the past 40 years. Unlike alcohol based products whose germ killing abilities disappears as soon as the alcohol evaporates, Soapopular continues to be effective. As well as common pathogens Soapopular has also been shown to be effective against the H1N1 or Swine Flu virus.
Soapopular is clear and contains neither colourant nor fragrance so there’s nothing that might irritate the skin or cause allergic reactions. It dries instantly without leaving a sticky residue.
The unique “Pen” dispenser fits conveniently into a school bag or handbag and is ideal for people on the move. The 10 ml pen dispenses a minimum of 100 sprays of bug busting foam for £1.69. Other sizes include a handy 100 ml size £2.69 which is an ideal size to
keeping in the car, and there is a 250 ml family pack at £4.39. Available from independent pharmacists (telephone 01158419795 for stockists), Holland & Barrett or on line from www.chemistdirect.co.uk

Warner Leisure Hotels launches Summer Photo Competition
Warner Leisure Hotels, the first UK hotel group to launch a digital photo competition via Flickr for its guests, has announced the completion of the final judging of the Warner Leisure Hotels Spring Photo Competition.
The competition began in March and guests were invited to submit spring images taken at any of the Warner Leisure Hotels locations, or around and about the locality. Entrants were then allowed to upload and share their photos on the Warner Leisure Hotels group within Flickr.com.
The judges were greatly impressed by the diversity of images, a selection of which is being shown online. Competition was fierce, and after much deliberation the winning image was chosen as a stunning scene of the Bembridge coast in the Isle of Wight, at low tide. A cheeky squirrel caught on the lawn at Bodelwyddan Castle stole second place, followed by the picturesque seaside view off the newly decked terrace at Norton Grange on the Isle of Wight.
Warner Leisure Hotels has thirteen locations, both country and coastal, ideal for lazy UK summer holidays and the perfect opportunity to capture some idyllic photos.
Following on from the success of the spring competition, and all the fantastic shots that were submitted, Warner Leisure Hotels is again challenging both hotel guests and the general public to enter their favourite summer images taken either at one of the locations, or indeed in the locality.
Adding to the available photo opportunities, four of the historic gardens owned by Warner Leisure Hotels - Thoresby Hall on Nottinghamshire, Holme Lacy House in Herefordshire, Cricket St Thomas in Somerset and Littlecote House in Berkshire are opening for The National Gardens Scheme.
Exclusively for adults, Warner Leisure Hotels' enjoys an occupancy rate of 95% in its portfolio of 13 properties across the UK. As well as offering a wide choice and style of accommodation, each with its own personality. Renowned for its weekend breaks and spa breaks, the hotel chain is also known for its wide range of experience breaks, offering over 600 additional activities from hot air balloon trips and antiques with TV's Eric Knowles to a Mini Cooper Treasure Hunt and numerous dance breaks.
The group currently receives around half a million guests annually but is expecting even more this year as many people are choosing UK Breaks and rediscovering beautiful Britain.

Staycation in an idyllic location
New holiday homes provide a safe haven for family & finances in an idyllic and peaceful setting - first homes due for completion in June/July 2009 www.thebaytalland.com
If you’ve ever dreamt of recreating those childhood memories of holidays spent rock pooling, beachcombing and enjoying the freshest fish and chips, but with 21st century comforts, then take a look at The Bay, Talland, a select holiday home development of just 42 properties overlooking a beautiful stretch of Cornwall’s south coast.
Offering a tranquil escape from everyday life and the crowds of north Cornwall, The Bay rests above the rocky coves and small, picturesque beaches of Talland Bay, an unspoilt and ‘hidden gem’ between Looe and Polperro. With direct access to the South West Coastal Path, it overlooks the sea in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.
Instead of the damp, and basic holiday homes of yesteryear, families can now enjoy all the fun of a traditional British seaside holiday combined with high quality, custom-finished homes and hotel-standard resort facilities including an indoor pool, sauna, gym, tennis court and bar. And, if you do crave a visit to some of Cornwall’s key attractions during your stay, The Bay is situated just an hour or so from The Eden Project, Padstow, Newquay and St. Ives, while scenic spots a short drive away include Fowey, St Michaels Mount and Looe Island. (The Bay itself is only four hours from London).
And because The Bay is a safe, private development, owners will have all the benefits of the on-site facilities combined with stress-free, ‘lock up and leave’ year-round security. A dedicated management company will be on site to co-ordinate everything from the cleaning and maintenance of properties, to arranging on-site letting if required. The hotel-style concierge service will also be on hand to make recommendations and reservations to help owners and guests to make the most of their stay.
The homes: The homes at The Bay have been designed by local architects to blend harmoniously with the landscape with outstanding views directly out to sea, or across open countryside. The finest local materials are being used with exteriors finished in a blend of natural Cornish stone and cedar. Many of the properties will feature decking and built-in barbeques to help owners make the most of the long summer evenings, and feature first floor sitting rooms with coastal views.
With prices starting from only £280,000 ‘off-plan’, two and three bedroom designs, the ‘Courtyard’ and ‘Hillside’ are available, ranging from approximately 900 sq ft to 1200 sq ft. Room sizes will be larger than typically found in holiday accommodation. All the homes are permanent constructions, using a combination of modern and traditional building methods/materials from local contractors, and will all benefit from a 10 year NHBC Buildmark warranty.
Interiors: Designed to offer a ‘boutique hotel’ feel using the best of contemporary design, The Bay’s bespoke finishing service allows buyers to select their own finishing touches to their home from tiling and kitchen units to custom layouts. The homes all feature spacious open-plan kitchens, oak flooring, underfloor heating and stylish vaulted ceilings.
An enjoyable investment: As well as offering a property investment you can enjoy with all the family, The Bay makes an appealing long term investment choice. Coastal property remains in strong demand in good locations. And while the south east of Cornwall is just as beautiful as the north, unlike the typically popular Cornish hotspots such as Newquay and Watergate Bay, it has not experienced the large influx of second or large holiday home developments, and currently offers much better value for buyers. All the homes are being sold at ‘off plan’ discounted prices (the first phase of 19 homes is already reserved).
Rental yields have been independently estimated at 7-8%, and a rental guarantee over two years can also be provided; and with the ability for some use by the owner if required, this format offers an attractive ‘lifestyle investment’.
Taxation: No stamp duty is payable on the purchase of the plot or the build cost, and as a ‘self-build’ the properties are deemed VAT free. Purchasers are recommended to seek independent tax advice from a specialist.
Cool for kids: The Bay offers a perfect way to recreate those holiday memories with your own children, allowing them to enjoy hours of exploration, crabbing, picnics and rock pooling on Talland Bay’s secluded sand and shingle beach, while the area is also ideal for snorkelling and diving for Mum and Dad. Then when you return to your holiday home at the end of the day, children will have plenty of large open spaces to roam, play tennis and swim, all in a secure environment.
Eco/conservation: Built on the site of a former caravan park, the development at The Bay recognises the importance of being in keeping with the landscape and has already won awards for its use of natural, local materials, and the skills of local craftsmen. Eco-friendly features will include solar heating for the indoor pool, economical underfloor heating, superb insulation and natural, eco paint finishes throughout.
The development aims to pay great attention to detail, with landscaping and planting in keeping with the landscape character of the area, using only native plant species to provide habitats for the recovery of species like the Cirl Bunting, butterflies and bats. To this end, The Bay is recruiting the advice of local landscape architects and a botanist to ensure that only the right planting is carried out to enhance the development within its natural location.

“It’s time for the Tottenham Carnival 2009” – at last some good news!
The twelfth Tottenham Carnival, North London's biggest community festival, takes place on June 20th 2009 in Bruce Castle Park (N17 8NU) - bringing together local communities to celebrate all the good things Haringey has to offer through rich cultural diversity.
Up to 80,000 people are expected to join in the free family-friendly fun, to experience a unique showcase of different cultures, tastes and sounds: there will be five stages of live entertainment, as well as a Spurs zone organised by Tottenham Hotspur, Comedy Tent, Latin Zone, fun fair, Kids’ Zone, Youth Zone, and Pensioners’ Zone.
The now famous carnival procession starts at 11am in Eade Road; the festival commences at 12 noon in Bruce Castle Park (ends 7pm).
Carnival president and Tottenham MP, David Lammy, said: “Almost 190 languages are now spoken so it’s different communities working together in Tottenham. Obviously it’s an opportunity for the young people particularly, many of whom in the primary schools have got involved in making costumes and making floats.
“It has grown so it gets bigger and bigger every year and it culminates in an afternoon-into-evening activity in Bruce Castle Park, and that’s got to be a good thing because that’s an opportunity for family and young people to be there enjoying the event, enjoying the stalls.”
He continues: “Tottenham now is known for its diversity. There is significant regeneration, and there is suitable and accessible housing for people. There’s a sense that things are moving forward and happening in the area.”
Perrier-nominated comedian and ‘local boy’ Simon Munnery has been lined up to headline in the Comedy Tent, alongside an array of local Tottenham talent, and many schools and other organisations are adding to the feel-good factor by appearing on the other stages (see details below).
Carnival chairman Nicky Price said: “This is one of the capital’s biggest good news stories – the Tottenham Carnival will be bigger and better than ever.
“It’s been a difficult year for many and this will be a chance to get away from all the bad news and celebrate Tottenham’s growing cultural contribution.”

Bath Heritage embraces online to engage with tourists from across the globe
Alterian technology will power websites for five of the county’s top tourist attractions
Tourists will be able to engage online with some of Bath’s most popular historic attractions for years to come thanks to a partnership signed with Alterian (LSE:ALN) and Fusion Workshop to enhance the end user experience on its flagship websites.
Alterian’s Web Content Management (WCM) technology was selected by the Bath & North East Somerset Council Heritage Services to redesign five of the key websites that promote Bath’s most popular heritage attractions to national and international tourists, including the Roman Baths, Fashion Museum and Victoria Art Gallery.
For years, potential visitors to Bath have been able to view virtual displays of the museums’ collections and take virtual tours of the exhibition galleries online before physically visiting the attractions themselves. Bath Heritage Services wanted to develop the user experience further and ensure that its websites remained accessible and easy-to-use for years to come, and would be able to incorporate user generated content, blogs and forums in the future.
“It is vital that our heritage websites are engaging for visitors and contain up-to-date information that can be easily sourced and accessed as the web is often the first port of call for tourists planning their holidays.” said Patricia Dunlop, Commercial Manager, Bath Heritage Services. “With so many editors contributing content to the sites, we needed a WCM system that was simple to use and could help us to future-proof our online presence to ensure that Bath remains a tourist hotspot for years to come”.
Alterian Content Management Corporate (CMC) was selected to help the Council’s non-technical users produce, maintain and control complex websites in a simple manner. The platform’s multilingual capabilities were an added attraction; English is not the first language for approximately 20% of the sites visitors, so giving them the opportunity to engage with the site in their preferred language was important.
All public sector websites are obligated to comply with strict accessibility regulations. This can cause problems when there are multiple content editors, but the built-in checker function in Alterian CMC ensures that every single page is compliant with all legislation before it can be published and therefore that that the site meets all legal requirements. Sites found in breach of these regulations can be liable high profile and expensive litigation.
David Eldridge, CEO of Alterian, concluded, “Our WCM technology has always been popular with public sector organisations thanks to its cost effective implementation, engaging interface and accessibility checker that ensures compliance. We are very pleased that Bath Heritage Services selected Alterian to overhaul its online presence and recognised the strength of our platform. Bath is a fantastic example to other councils and organisations of how heritage, which is of central important to a city’s economy, can continue to remain accessible to tourists in the 21st century.”

http://www.fashionmuseum.co.uk/

http://www.bathvenues.co.uk/
The Roman Baths and the famous Pump Room above it receive over 1 million visitors per annum, half of them from overseas. Most of these have never visited the UK before and are making their first trip to the Bath area.
The Roman Baths were built in the first century AD as a religious spa and temple. They were visited by pilgrims from all over the Roman Empire for nearly four hundred years until they fell into decline in the fourth century. The museum has a Roman collection of international importance including 12,000 Roman coins deposited in the hot spring at the centre of the site. This collection and related items of more recent local history will be showcased on the new websites.
The complex is also popular among schoolchildren at key stages 2 and 3 who study the Romans as part of the national curriculum. The new website includes film footage of a typical school visit, created by local film company Constellation Media Ltd to assist teachers in their planning.
The Fashion Museum collection is internationally renowned and is housed in Bath’s magnificent Assembly Rooms, built in 1771. This website is the most popular of all, because of a worldwide interest in historic fashion. It and the Victoria Art Gallery each receive 100,000 visitors per annum. The Gallery has a popular temporary exhibition programme including some selling exhibitions by prominent local artists. These are supported by on-line catalogues of the works for sale.
The Bath Record Office website is a must for people researching their family history, which nowadays relies heavily on on-line access to relevant information.
Fusion Workshop has been looking after the Fashion Museum website since 1999 and those for the Bath Record Office, Roman Baths and Victoria Art Gallery since 2001.

Europcar launches Airport Connect
Europcar, the UK's leading car hire company, has announced the launch of its latest product - Airport Connect.
Lugging heavy bags across town, while worrying about whether train delays will cause missed flights, isn't the best way for any traveller to kick-off their holiday of intended rest and relaxation. This is why Europcar has created Airport Connect to alleviate some of the stress of travelling to the airport with a convenient and comfortable car hire option that helps get holidays off to a flying start.
Airport Connect customers can simply hire a vehicle from their local Europcar location, leave it at the airport branch and then take the courtesy coach directly to the terminal. On the way home, the process simply works in reverse, so there is no more struggling with train connections and rushing from A to B. Furthermore, Airport Connect customers can also transfer between UK airports.
By booking a car hire deal through Europcar's new Airport Connect, travellers can be sure that they get a vehicle that's large enough to take all their luggage and family comfortably. Holidaymakers can slip behind the wheel of their Europcar vehicle and start their trip the way they mean to go on.
Catriona Lougher, Marketing Director for Europcar UK Group said, "The holiday experience begins the moment you set off. Cramming the family and luggage into a small car or taking heavy bags and excited children on the train is guaranteed to get a trip off to a bad start. Airport Connect from Europcar ensures travellers arrive at the airport relaxed and ready for their holiday."

Cortijo Vadillo: A New Eco Yurt Centre Opens to Offer Luxury Camping in a Little Piece of Paradise
Situated in the Sierra Sur of Jaen, Andalucia, Cortijo Vadillo opens its’ yurt doors to those wanting an alternative holiday experience in the heart of real Spain. In the true vibe of the luxury camping phenomena Cortijo Vadillo celebrates the best of outdoor living with all the home comforts. Set in a beautiful hidden valley it is both a perfect rural getaway and an exciting venue for group events.
Cortijo Vadillo, a newly opened yurt centre in Jaen, Andalucia, offers luxury camping along with group workshop spaces. Set up and run by a family the atmosphere is informal and welcoming. They have created an intimate and flexible space that is ecological and low impact on the surrounding natural environment. The centre will appeal to people on many different levels, and allows customers to build their holiday or event package to suit their needs.
Customers are provided with beds, bedding, towels and mosquito nets. There is not only a swimming pool on site, but also fresh spring water pools with a bar and restaurant, only a ten minutes walk away. The outdoors kitchen and vine-shaded dining area are perfect for enjoying long summer evenings and sampling local produce. Catering packages can be arranged to allow more time to simply chill out.
Cortijo Vadillo is surrounded by 30 acres of private oak and olive groves for customers to explore. There are grassy places beneath the olive trees to enjoy a lazy picnic lunch, private spaces for meditation and reflection, a small cave and rocky outcrops for the children to investigate. Cortijo Vadillo also offer the opportunity to experience an olive picking holiday in their olive groves, complete with olive oil tasting and visits to olive co-operatives and museums.
Access to the cities of Granada, Cordoba and Jaen is excellent, and many of the local towns boast ancient Moorish castles. Cortijo Vadillo itself is on the walking path for the Route of the Caliphs, which loops around Granada and Cordoba. The Mediterranean coast, the Sierra Nevada and Jaen’s Natural Parks of Cazorla and Segura are within easy reach for days out.
Walking and cycling in the Sierra Sur is virtually tourist free with plenty of good tracks, and the nearby Via Verde follows the old olive train network. Two person, 4x4 buggies can be hired to explore the local area. There is a wealth of both developed and undeveloped crags and climbing routes in the local area.
Previous holidaymakers at Cortijo Vadillo have commented on the incredible sense of relaxation at the centre, “I’ve never felt so relaxed in my life” said Charley. “What a lovely, romantic place” wrote a group of young women from Germany. And the highlight for Nic and his son was “lying on our beds counting shooting stars through the open top of the yurt.”
As a venue for group events Cortijo Vadillo has plenty to offer, and owners Sam Whalley and Laurel Smith say “we have created a venue that is not restrictive, stuffy or formal. This is a space where the customer is free to decide the purpose, focus and structure of their event, with the knowledge that we will provide the support necessary to make it an unforgettable experience.”
The main group area is The Roundhouse, a large space with wooden flooring and plenty of light. It is perfect for all types of group activities from yoga and tai chi, to drumming and singing, to meditation and talks. Informal discussions and teachings, and creative work, can be easily accommodated around the large table and workbench. There is also the traditional Spanish threshing circle with a view of the limestone cliff above the valley.
Catering packages are designed to accommodate the needs of the group, from self-catered to fully catered events. Activities, therapies, group facilitation and team building exercises (such as erecting the yurts and circus skills workshops) can also be built into the programme. Musical entertainment and a PA can be provided if desired.
At a recent Ceremonial Sweat Lodge Weekend a traditional American Indian Lodge was built, and customers can now arrange to experience this during their stay. The ceremonial leaders, Ron Evans and Jose Brown, said “What a wonderful weekend! Beautiful land, fabulous food, great company, we didn’t want to leave.”
For further information about Cortijo Vadillo either visit the website - www.cortijovadillo.com - or contact Laurel Smith.

More Brits holiday with parents as credit crunch bites
Holiday-Rentals.co.uk Ltd
A generation of 20-somethings are holidaying with their parents to save money amid the recession, according to new research.
The new breed of holidaymakers – dubbed HOMADs because they Holiday on Mum and Dad – are turning to their parents for a cheap break.
Over half (52%) of those in their twenties are considering a trip away with their parents this year, with 14 per cent of those saying they already have something booked.
But while 17 per cent say they are doing it because they want to feel like a kid again, 30 per cent admit it’s because they know their parents will pick up the tab.
Courtney Wylie, MD of holiday home website Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, which carried out the study said: ‘’As young people suffer in the credit crunch, more 20-somethings than ever are choosing to go on holiday with their folks.
‘’Holiday costs can soon add up, but children – of all ages – shouldn’t be embarrassed by turning to their parents for financial help.
‘’Going away as a larger group can really help to keep the costs down and holidaying with your parents can even help you recreate the fun trips you had as a child.”
The poll of 2,500 Brits revealed that three quarters reckon their parents would pay something towards the cost of the holiday, with a lucky 18 per cent of those saying their parents will foot the entire bill.
And almost 77 per cent also claimed their mum and dad would pay for food and drink while on the trip.
A cheeky 64 per cent even admitted they would happily go away with family who offered to pay, even if they couldn’t stand spending a lot of time with them.
But it’s not just the younger generation who are going away with parents. More than half of Brits (55%) are considering holidaying with extended family and 19 per cent already do this.
Fifteen per cent said they would consider it because grandparents would help look after the kids, but two thirds would just do it to spend quality time together.
Another two thirds would think about travelling with a group of friends if it was cheaper than going alone and three quarters reckon they would have more fun.
Almost 20 per cent also think their children would be more entertained if other children were with them.
Wylie, of Holiday-Rentals.co.uk added: “Travelling in a group with family or friends is not only a great way to cut the cost per head of your holiday, it also helps re-establish important bonds.”
“In our time-poor world, holidays have become a key time for people to re-connect and we really value that time together.”
“Renting a large holiday home is the perfect solution as it’s very reasonable per head, plus provides more living space, such as separate bedrooms, dining rooms, lounges, gardens and pools.”
Holiday-Rentals.co.uk is the UK's largest holiday home rentals website, with over 180,000 properties worldwide, including a huge range of larger homes suitable for a break with extended family or friends.
