Some of the biggest names in music are set to descend on Turin in the coming weeks as the 2009 edition of the Traffic Festival kicks off.
Held between July 8th and 11th, the free event will be headlined by three of the most important acts in the world, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Primal Scream and Underworld.
Other acts due to rock the festival include St Vincent, Ladytron, Santigold and Bloody Beetroots.
The main stage of the event, where the majority of the musical performances will take place, is situated in Giardini della Reggia di Venaria Reale, while other events are set to be hosted in the city itself.
As such, it should be no problem for music fans staying in Turin hotels to catch all the action.
A series of films dedicated to Nick Cave forays into the world of cinema will also be on show during the festival, with movies set to be screened including The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Ghosts... of the Civil Dead and To Have and to Hold.
Previous editions of the festival have seen performances by Arctic Monkeys, Lou Reed, Soulwax, !!!, Sex Pistols and Franz Ferdinand take place.
